I'm always up for a challenge.
Trying to pick just five words to describe myself was far from easy. After all, it's nearly impossible to assume a subjective analysis of oneself.

That said, here's what I came up with...
This week's theme would have to be "Out of the Darkness and Into the Light."
Let's just say I have really been embracing the increased daylight, the sunshine-filled days, and the excitement of easing closer to Spring (and, ultimately, Summer).
The sunrises are showing up (most days) while I'm still outside, before getting ready for my workday. The sunsets are coming later, well after I've gotten home from work. And, although the temps are still feeling very much winter-like, the wind (on occasion) is starting feel more balmy than frigid.
Seriously, what's not to love?
Yes, it's that time of the month again (and already). Care to join me?
Got any 'fessions of your own to share?
If you don't mind, I'll go first...
I have, on many occasions, proclaimed the wind as my nemesis.
This is not contingent on any particular season, though it's far more of an issue in the colder months.
What is it about this force of nature that is so humbling, yet empowering?
I have a few thoughts on the matter...
Call me crazy, but I love my fitness gear almost as much as the feel-good endorphins from a solid workout.
Yes, there's the running shoes (and they have played a valuable part), but there's also a few extras that have upped my #SweatEquity experience. While none of these I'd call essential, all of them have merit.
And they all were key players in my '21 fitness game.
Baby, it's not just cold outside, it's ridiculously frigid.
Even by Iowa standards, the past week was downright brutal. We're talking single digits temps on the daily, as well as double-digit mph wind. That just means the feels-like was sub-ZERO on the daily as well. Thankfully, there wasn't any new snow or ice, so I'll give Momma N kudos for that.
How did my fitness fare? I'm glad you asked...
As the saying goes, carpe diem.
Seize the day, and seize the drink...just make sure you grab something warm.
Holy frigid freeze-out, Batman! It's been cold, even by Iowa standards. It's a good thing I have a hearty supply of chai on hand. Rest assured, I'm drinking it hot (I can't imagine drinking anything on ice, given the current sub-ZERO feels-like weather conditions).
Anyways, it's that time of the month for gathering and chatting over coffee (or any beverage of choice). I have my chai latte' in hand and a few things to share...
